International Waterbird Census (IWC) is the largest and longest running monitoring programmes in the world.
Waterbirds are a key part of wetland ecosystems. Their presence, numbers and trends at a site can tell us a lot about the health and quality of a wetland.

Društvo prirodnjaka Crne Gore i ove godine se uključuje u međunarodnu akciju - ZIMSKO PREBROJAVANJE PTICA VODENIH STANIŠTA (IWC). U januaru mjesecu DPCG će propratiti lokalitete u Danilovgradu, opštini u centralnom dijelu Crne Gore, koja spada u najbogatija područja vodom u državi. Pružiće,takođe i podršku na drugim lokalitetima.
